Jimmy G Return To New England?

WIth the 2021 NFL draft tonight the 49ers and Patriots have found themselves questioning their QB spot. Both Jimmy Garoppolo and Cam Newton have been below-average starters in the past year and have injury concerns. The 49ers have been rumored to be looking to move the 29-year-old QB (Per TheScore and many more on Twitter). Take this with a grain of salt however because some other reliable sources (Jeff Howe on Twitter) have downplayed these rumors. It would be an interesting move as Garoppolo has already played under Belicheck and Josh McDaniels. Maybe a bit of familiarity and competition is what made this move desirable for the Pats. A more likely scenario is for the Pats to draft Trey Lance or Justin Fields tonight with a trade-up or hoping that one of the prospects slides down to the 15th.
